Edinburgh Royal Lyceum

Edinburgh's Royal Lyceum is home to one of Scotlands largest and most successful producing companies. The theatre was designed by eminent Victorian theatre architect C.J. Phipps and dates from 1993. It is now a listed building.

In the early 1990s we undertook refurbishment and extension works, providing a major upgrade and re-equipping the whole backstage area. This included the enlargement of the stage and redevelopment of the fly tower and backstage accommodation to provide better facilities for performers and technical staff.

In the public areas, the upper foyers and bar areas were refurbished. To improve the then modest front of house facilities at stalls level, a structural glass portico was added, providing better interaction with people passing by.
